Lindsey’s painting process is very meditative and done with pure intention. Much of her work is painted in oil, created with a fusion of technique and style. The catalyst for all her creations began with the notion that “we all have a story to tell.” Many of her paintings symbolically convey the beauty in pertaining a growth mindset: the power of our thoughts, deeds, actions, and personal reflection. The figures she chooses to portray evoke narratives that bountifully represent our Divine Nature and our potential through a fusion of colorful flora and fauna.

Lindsey truly feels that she’s on an artistic journey and mission to uplift and inspire others while bringing awareness about the importance of self-worth, positive thinking as well as mental and spiritual wellbeing. She believes that botanicals and color can be inspirational and function as a healing tool for our mind/body/spirit. Many of her compositions may be seen as various metaphors evoking another realm which tell a story or fulfill a narrative for the viewer. Lindsey’s design formula and landscape architectural compositions strive to reflect the organic or mathematical order and sequence of both nature and urban space. Substituting structure for color and light is a chief concern in her paintings and designs. The colorful palette, unique and harmonious color combinations, are essentially an attempt to balance and harmonize the human spirit while elevating the art collector’s interior space. She is inspired by Rothko’s notion that the viewer can be enveloped by solid hues and colorful auras.

Born in Utah, Lindsey Erin Larsen-Myer has resided all over the Wasatch Front. Her love for art, music, and dance began at a young age, and her appreciation for beauty and grace came from her classical ballet training with the School of Ballet West. When she wasn’t dancing, she was creating art. As she developed a passion for drawing, painting, and sculpting, she began to win high school art competitions and was admitted to the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach, CA. There, she studied fine art, sculpture, and graphic design for three years. Lindsey completed a BFA in Art History at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT while establishing herself as a gallery artist, known for her creative, authentic style and masterful use of color.

Lindsey currently resides in beautiful Maine with a large art studio overlooking the Androscoggin River near the coast with her husband and twins, Emmett and Autumn. When Lindsey is not creating artwork, she is with her family. She also teaches Barre and Spin classes and serves in her church community. She loves to hike with their dog Indy, garden, sing, visit art museums, attend ballet performances, watch basketball and movies, play guitar, and loves to explore the outdoors and travel.
